The Prime Minister of Grenada His Excellency Dickon Amiss Thomas Mitchell upon his visit to Ghana for the opening of 3i African Summit took time out of his busy schedule to visit Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Municipal Assembly as result of the municipality being a tourism hub, since it has the first castle built in 1842 by the portuguese in Ghana and Africa.

Upon his arrival in the municipality he was hosted by the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Solomon Appiah in a brief ceremony at the assembly hall of the municipal assembly. The MCE welcomed His Excellency Dickon Mitchell to the municipality and told him how important his visit was to the municipality since he believes it was going to build a strong sister city relationship with Grenada. The MCE entreated His Excellency and his entourage to enjoy their visit and learn much from KEEA MA which is really a hub for tourism.

His excellency Dickson Thomas Mitchell expressed his profound gratitude towards the MCE for the warmth reception given by the municipal assembly. His excellency assured the MCE a sister city was a possibility in the near future since the municipality’s main occupation was farming and Grenada was equally into large scale farming. He promised to visit KEEA Municipality anytime he visited Ghana.
