The Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipality was carved out of the Cape Coast Metropolis in 1988 in pursuance to LI 1857. The Municipality is bounded on the South by the Atlantic Ocean (Gulf of Guinea), the East by the Cape Coast Metropolis, the North by the Twifo-Hemang-Lower Denkyira District and the West by the Mpohor – Wassa East District. The municipal assembly has embarked on a clean up exercise at the municipal assembly to ensure clean working environment. This exercise was extend to the lorry parks and market in Elmina. Staffs of the municipal assembly took time out of their busy schedule to participate fully in this activity.
