The Municipal Chief Executive for Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Municipal Assembly, Hon. Ismael Zagoon-Saeed, has paid a working visit to Maglindoh Sunnyside Farms in Dompoase to assess the progress of the ‘Nkoko Nkitinkiti’ Initiative. The farm is expected to raise the Sasso broilers for 4 weeks before they are distributed to beneficiary households.

The project, which is a Ghanaian government initiative under the Feed Ghana Program (FGP), is designed to boost local poultry production, reduce imports, and create jobs by distributing 3 million birds to households across the country.  

During the visit, the MCE inspected the poultry units, commending the management and the workers for their hard work.

He assured them of the Assembly’s continuous support to expand the initiative and strengthen agribusiness within the municipality.

Mr. Amaquandoh, the manager for the poultry unit of the farm, expressed gratitude for the support. He disclosed that 10,000 day-old chicks, 18 bags of pre-starter feed, 444 bags of broiler feed, 4 packs of glucose, 5 kg of Colvit, and 4 kg of Amprocox had been delivered. The day-old chicks were delivered on Friday, 27th February 2026.

The MCE was accompanied by the Municipal Animal Production Officer, Mr. Nuhu Ramzy Adam.

In related news, the Municipal Director of Agriculture, Madam Victoria Dansoa Abankwa, and two other agricultural officers on Friday, 27th February, 2026, conducted a monitoring visit to the service provider (Maglindoh Sunnyside Farms) to assess the housing space availability, the number of birds supplied, and their general condition.
