On Thursday, July 17, 2025, the Technology Solution Center assets at Mempeasem in the KEEA Municipality were officially handed over to the GRATIS Foundation. The ceremony was attended by notable figures including the Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Sampson Ahi, the Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ismail Zagoon-Seed, and other dignitaries.

In his address on behalf of the Minister for Trade, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu Adjare, the Deputy Minister highlighted a three-pronged agenda for repositioning the GRATIS Foundation and the 31 Technology Solution Centres (TSCs):

1. Agribusiness – local fabrication of agro-processing machinery and farming tools.

2. Industrialization – manufacturing specialized spare parts, supporting factory maintenance, and after-sale technical services for industries and SMEs.

3. Technical Training – providing apprenticeships, certified vocational training for junior and senior high school graduates, and master craftsmen development.

The Deputy Minister called for collective efforts to build an industrialized Ghana.

The Municipal Chief Executive urged collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure the initiative’s success and expressed gratitude to the GRATIS Foundation and attendees for their support in this historic moment.
