INVITATION TO THE LAUNCH OF THE 30 DAYS TO THE 2021 POPULATION AND HOUSING CENSUS
As you are aware, Ghana is preparing towards the 2021 Population and Housing Census (PHC) with the Census Night scheduled for Sunday 27th June. As part of the preparatory activities, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) is implementing publicity, education and advocacy campaign in the lead up to the census to sensitize the public on the census and elicit their support for the exercise.
Friday 28th May, marks 30 days to the Census Night and the start of intense publicity campaign to raise awareness of the census. On that day, His Excellency, the President will launch the 30 days countdown at the national level after which the countdown will be launched in all districts in the country. The purpose of the district launch is to raise awareness of the census nationwide. The launch is an important milestone activity in the lead up to the Census Night and is meant to facilitate the work of census officials by informing the public about the impending census and what is expected of them so that all will endeavor to be counted.
The 30 days to Census Night will be launched by His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana. Following the national launch, the countdown will also be launched in all districts.
