This Years Green Ghana Day was a massive success for Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Municipal Assembly. The municipal assembly were given over two thousand two hundred seedlings (2,200) by the forestry commission. These seedlings were distributed among schools through the District Education Service, various communities through assembly members and individuals who are also interested in planting trees

The Municipal Coordinating PLN/ENG Emmanuel Ikpe Quacou, chairperson of small and medium – scale enterprise committee of the assembly Hon. Alberta Kpeleku and other management members of the Keea municipal assembly stopped at some schools in the municipality to promote the initiative. The MCD spoke to some teachers and students about benefits of planting trees and also charged them to nurture it to grow after planting.

Hon Alberta Kpeleku expressed how happy she was since most of the seedlings were economic and were going to bear food the communities in few years to come if it will be nurtured well.
