On June 10, 2026, the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem (KEEA) Municipal Assembly conducted a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) within the Municipality. The Assembly donated a variety of income-generating and start-up equipment, which included industrial sewing machines, fufu pounding machines, refrigerators, and other essential items designed to assist beneficiaries in establishing or expanding their businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the distribution ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ismail Zagoon-Saaed, underscored the Assembly’s ongoing dedication to improving the welfare of Persons with Disabilities in the community. He encouraged the recipients to care for the equipment responsibly and to utilize it effectively, with the goal of enhancing their living conditions and achieving greater economic independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also present at the event was Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills, the Member of Parliament for the Komenda-Edina Eguafo Abrem Constituency. He participated in the presentation of several items and reiterated his commitment to supporting Persons with Disabilities. He announced plans to provide additional industrial sewing machines to selected beneficiaries and pledged to supply necessary sewing materials, which would enable them to create garments on his behalf for marketing purposes and also to make income out of it. He expressed that wearing these shirts would symbolize the ongoing support and progress derived from this initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This donation aims to empower beneficiaries and foster self-reliance, while also contributing to the socio-economic development of Persons with Disabilities in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
