The KEEA Municipal Assembly held its first ordinary meetings of the 9th Assembly on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th July, 2025 respectively . <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In attendance were the Presiding Member, Hon. Francis Bansah, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ismail Zagoon-Seed, the member of Parliament, Hon Samuel Atta Mills, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Walanyo Alatevi and Hon. Assembly Members from the 36 electoral areas in the municipality and government appointees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The general assembly during their sitting, considered the 2025 Budget Extract, the Formation of Sub-committee, membership of the Public Relations and complaints committee (PRCC), membership of the executive committee and discussion of the MCE’s Sessional Address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the MCE’s sessional address he highlighted key projects the assembly wants to undertake in the health, education and other social projects the government to under take in the reset agenda for the development of KEEA Municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MP in his remarks informed the general assembly of the projects especially on road project government wants to undertake through the BIG PUSH which KEEA municipality has benefitted and also promised the house of his commitment to the development of the municipality with the MCE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some head of the department\/ units took time to brief the house of the programmes and projects the municipal assembly is undertaking as part of decentralization. Social Welfare and Community Development boss Mr Sylvester Gyampo besiege members on the LEAP Programme (Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty). He assured Hon. Members that the assembly will enhance its supervisory role and ensure eligible beneficiaries benefit from the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Municipal Planning Officer, Mr Johnson Degraft Taylor on his part informed members on the Assembly’s preparations towards the development of the Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP). He indicated that stakeholder consultation had commenced on zonal basis. He entreated members to contribute significantly towards the development of a good plan for the Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Municipal Director of Agric, Madam Victoria Abankwaa on the second day briefed the house of the feed ghana project which the government was about introduce to help boost the agriculture sector in the municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
